About Cheralyn

Cheralyn Darcey Produces & Presents 'The Nightline' from the 2HD studios in Newcastle, which airs weeknights right across The Super Radio Network including 2SM in Sydney.

She is a dynamic Australian radio broadcaster known for her warm, informed, and engaging presence on air.

With a strong foundation in communications, journalism, and community program management,

she brings a distinctive mix of curiosity, creativity, and credibility to the world of talkback radio.

A passionate advocate for community connection, Cheralyn draws deeply from her lived experience in military family advocacy, community volunteer program management and being a collector of stories.

She sparks meaningful conversations that resonate with

real people and real issues.

Her popular gardening column ‘Down in the Garden’ runs weekly in Coast Newspapers, and she contributes regularly as a freelance journalist to both national and international publications, specialising in botanical and historical topics.

Cheralyn Darcey is a volunteer youth mentor in high schools across the Hunter and Lake Macquarie with the Raise Foundation, supporting young people as they navigate the challenges of growing up. Through one-on-one mentoring, she works with students to help build confidence, resilience, and a sense that someone is genuinely in their corner, listening and encouraging them as they figure out who they are and where they want to go. Learn more about the program at https://raise.org.au.

Cheralyn proudly serves as Patron of the Central Coast Edible Garden Trail and is currently furthering her broadcast skills through a Postgraduate Diploma in Radio & Podcasting at the

Australian Film, Television & Radio School (AFTRS).

On air, Cheralyn offers more than commentary, she delivers thoughtful, intelligent talkback built on real-life insight. Her style is compassionate yet incisive, designed to foster open dialogue, uncover overlooked stories, and amplify voices that deserve to be heard.
